Jaggery- A healthy aid to our body
Hey people!! Its Autumn and Winter is knocking at the door. During winters, whenever I am at home, g aram parathas made by my Ma with " gur" is a perfect dinner for me. Jaggery aka "GUR" is a seasonal delight during the winters which is used to make different tasty, yummy and mouth watering dishes in India. Ever wondered the benefits of Jaggery?? Jaggery is a traditional natural sweetener made by concentrating the sugarcane juice, thus chemical free. It is also far more nutritious than sugar as jaggery contains sucrose, mineral salts, iron and fiber. [1] Jaggery has its own benefits when right amount is consumed. ( Too much consumption of gur is a big no no as it may have adverse effect on health). Helps in digestion!
