When all of us are stuck and confined in our homes in the current COVID situation;not knowing when the world will heal again we are hard hit with stress and anxiety. To destress and help recover the mental health, I feel we should start doing something productive may be some healthy hobbies can come to our resort. Sri Lanka is a small country with lush green landscape described as "The finest island of its size in all the world" by Marco Polo. We visited this small country months back in March and was wonderstruck by the natural beauty, the landscapes, the hills, the buddhist monasteries, temples, historical places and worth mentioning the cool tea plantations and deep blue open sea. It was a 3 days short weekend gateaway from Hyderabad, hardly took 2 hours to reach Negombo. We stayed at  Ramada  the night before leaving for Kandy. It was a great stay with a very warm welcome by the staff-an unforgettable comfort stay we had. The next day we started for the hills-the profuse greenery by the two sides of the road will tranquillize the eyes. The first stop we had was in the Elephant sanctuary in Pinnawala.
