Why Fish is so good for depression?

Fishes (low fat) have a good amount of  Omega3 fatty acids. Omega3 fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain  and helps in cognitive and better functioning of the brain as the structure of the cell membrane is changed by Omega3 fatty acids. [1]. It influences the activity of serotonin and dopamine. Healthy functioning of these neurotransmitters is important in preventing depression symptoms.
The new meta-analysis of a study supports the link between intake of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids, the kind found in fish, and reduction in major depressive disorder (MDD) [2].
