Weight Loss with Eggs!!

For a PGDM student in XIME, Bangalore its compulsory to stay in hostel. In these 2 years I have had lots of experiences and one such experience is that in the breakfast everyday you can have  as many eggs as you want☺.

I won't suggest anyone to have 8 or 10 eggs a day but having 1 or 2 eggs everyday in the breakfast has its own advantages.[1] And today I am going to tell you that eating eggs actually leads to weight loss!!

NUTRITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:
 A medium sized egg (44 grams) contains the following:


  • 5.53 grams protein
  • 5 grams of fat
  • Omega 3 Fatty acids that help in increasing cognitive skills
  • Vitamin- A, B2, B12, B5, D, E.
  • Phosphorus, Iodine and Iron.
  • Total calories-75.
EGGS AND WEIGHT LOSS:

Studies have shown that consuming eggs daily leads to weight loss. This is because a medium sized egg contains 75 calories and 5 grams of protein that keeps your stomach full for a long time.[2]. A 2017 study by Nutrient open access journal shows that a healthy young person increases his/her satiety if he/she consumes 2 eggs per day as compared to oatmeal as a breakfast.

The protein content of the egg also reduces the insulin content in the body.The insulin hormone helps in controlling fat metabolism in our body. Thus LOW FAT= LOW WEIGHT.
